The Tyre Manager project emerged from a challenge within Formula SAE: managing tyre wear and extending the lifespan of each set. This led to the idea of developing a tool that combines data analysis and machine-learning techniques to improve tyre management and ensure longer durability. From analysing tread-wear patterns to identifying which tracks are more abrasive and determining the ideal moment to rotate each tyre set, the Python-based software delivers a comprehensive suite of features tailored specifically for Formula SAE teams. In the near future, the software will also receive a web-based version, allowing teams across the category to access and benefit from the tool.
